TopHat Setup and Tuning
The following guide offers procedures and recommendations for getting the most out of your TopHat air spring. However, they are only suggestions and should not be considered the only way in which to effectively adjust your suspension. Diagrams and graphics are intended to provide conceptual understanding of more advanced tuning options, they are not drawn to scale.
This is only a guide. There is no substitute for careful testing.
Warning: Before performing advanced tuning consult the specific TopHat service instructions. Remove all air pressure before service or disassembly.
Initial setup
For initial setup, air pressure, and recommended damper settings see the Quickstart page.
Fine tuning
For additional support with both standard and advanced tuning consult the TopHat Tuning Guide.
Independently tune air pressure
Making changes to the pressure in one chamber does not effect pressure in the other chamber. As long as the (++) remains at a higher pressure both chambers can be adjusted independently.
Fine tune air pressure and ratio
One example of a tuning protocol starting with a (+) : (++) chamber ratio of 1 : 1.5
