The key to a great handling bike is balanced suspension. While frame designers employ a range of kinematics to control the spring curve of the shock and ride characteristics at the rear wheel, it can a be a challenge tuning the fork to match. TopHat's design gives you total control to tune your fork's spring curve exactly how you want for any bike you ride.

In traditional single-stage air springs, any adjustment to one aspect effects the entire stroke and forces a compromise in suspension performance. With TopHat, adjustments to the end of the stroke are isolated from the first part of travel so they won't change sag or initial sensitivity off the top. The unique design also incorporates volume spacers for extra fine tuning the last 20-30mm of travel, but with zero effect on initial grip, comfort, or dynamic ride height.

Similar aftermarket products use a one piece mono-tube design for ease of lower cost manufacturing at the expense of performance. Taking up as much as 30cc of extra space inside the fork, they can make the spring overly progressive by default. By utilizing a more precise modular design and removing as much material as possible during the machining process, TopHat remains volume neutral. The benefit is lower base-line progression for lighter riders and long travel forks, a broader adjustment range for all users, and reduced sensitivity to small changes in pressure and temperature.
